Abstract

Total coliform level contained in domestic waste water has exceeded the threshold value, respectively 6000-15.400 cfu/100 mL. Threshold value of Domestic Waste Water published by Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation Number 68 in 2016 mentioned that total coliform allowed to discharge to water column is 3000 CFU/100mL. Combination method of Wetland and UV Light Disinfection is one of alternative treatment method in order to reduce total coliform. Cattail plants (Typha angustifolia) are plant used to reduce the total coliform in the Constructed Wetland Method. The HRT variation used in the Wetland method are 4 days, 8 days and 12 days. Irradiation time applied for UV Light Disinfection are 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 30 minutes. The best combination variation with 99% removal efficiency was found in the combination method of contact time of 4 days and irradiation time of 10 minutes.
